I well-remember

when my kids were of the baby-variety (now they’re of the frightening teenager variety) - I’d get them new toys, they’d gnaw on them for 5 minutes and then return to chewing on the coffeetable. Still, though, hope sprang eternal, and I figured that as they grew, they’d learn to adore the toys I would bravely bring home.

No such luck emerged, of course, so I began relying upon garage sales (a wondrous concept - you could get new or like-new toys for 25 cents!). However, an enterprising mom decided that people rent videos, people rent games, why not rent babies? No no, I mean, rent toys? So Lori Pop started Baby Plays and has received so many hits, the site is currently being upgraded. Not bad! To wit:

Well, thanks now to geo technology, there’s a device called GeoSkeeper, that provide accurate location tracking of exactly where the person is during the time of distress. Instead of a mere phone or pushbutton, it’s:

This could be very useful indeed for folks who are the primary caregiver to the elderly, disabled, special needs kids and the like. And take it from me - when your loved ones need you, you WANT to be notified yesterday. You don’t want to wait for a phone call, you don’t want to wait for someone to knock at your door (are you listening, parents???) you want to be alerted so you can help out ASAP.

You know, it never ceases to amaze me how many people force themselves to chug down protein drinks in their effort to get fit and lose weight, and then complain about the taste, consistency, etc.

I have a better way - did you know you can add protein powder to your morning cup of coffee and imbibe it then?

Yes indeed! True, you DO have to stir it quite well, else it clumps up….but, as a way to both flavor your coffee and also fulfill your morning protein cravings, it works like a charm! I myself use Costco Vanilla Whey protein but there are a bazillion others from which you can choose.

One note - your coffee will NOT lighten up much in color as it does when you pour in creamer. But as you’re drinking this wonder and not peering intently at it, that shouldn’t be much of a problem.

And if you want other flavors as well, get thee hence to the zero calorie zero carb Sweetleaf flavorings - those droplets of intense delight come in flavors like

I was alerted to this notion by Brewed Coffee.com in their posting. To wit:
